How to convert image to xps?

   In order to make ImagePDF knowledge base more umfangreich and benefit our readers, we will add more corresponding knowledge here. In this part, I will talk about how to convert image to xps.  If you are not familiar with xps file format, please read the following part.

  XPS was designed as a replacement for the Enhanced Metafile (.EMF) format. It is short for XML Paper Specification and it is similar to a .PDF file. XPS files can be created in Windows by selecting the "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" as the printer when printing a document. It is mainly used for sharing ,archiving for contact, report forms and online acknowledgement of receipt. In a word, when you need to do printing and file archiving, this file format is extremely useful. In the following part, I will show you how to convert  image to xps.

  First, download VeryDOC Image to XPS Converter.

Second, run the conversion from image to xps.

  • Usage: img2xps.exe [options] [Options] <Image Files>
    Example:
    Parameter “-paper ” is for setting paper size to xps format
       img2xps.exe -paper "11x17in" C:\input.tif
    Parameter “-printer” is for specifying printer name to xps printing
       img2xps.exe -printer "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" -paper "612x792pt" C:\input.tif
  • By this software, you can also add watermark for the printing files.
        img2xps.exe -wtext "Watermark" C:\input.tif
       Parameter “-wtext” is for adding watermark on printed document.
     img2pdf.exe -wtext "ImagePDF" -wf "Arial" -wh 20 -wb -wi -wu -ws "C:\in.tif"
  • By this software, you can control the font name, height, width of the watermark. Meanwhile, you can control the opacity, angle and the color of watermark.

How to convert image to ePub file?

   In this article, I will show you how to convert image to ePub file then the image file can be read like viewing on electronic books which can be read on iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, Sony Reader, etc. The conversion needs two steps: image to PDF then PDF to ePub. In our ImagePDF knowledge base, you can teach yourself well about how to convert image to PDF, we I will focus on the latter conversion.

First, covert image to PDF.

  • This is the command line software, after downloading, please unzip it then check the elements in it.
  • Do the conversion following the examples in it.

Examples of the usage.
 img2pdf.exe C:\in.jpg C:\out.pdf 
If your your image file is from the scanner, maybe you can add those parameters “-skewcorrect”  “-despeckle”.  skewcorrect is for skewing correct for black and white image file.
“-despeckle” is for removing despeckle for black and white image file.
   img2pdf.exe -skewcorrect -despeckle -chkbwcolor C:\in.tif C:\out.pdf

Second, convert PDF to ePub.

  • As in ImagePDF software company, now we do not have software which can be used for converting PDF to ePub file. After searching and testing, we feel VeryDOC PDF to ePub Converter is good.   • Choose the output options and the page range you need to convert.
  • If your PDF has open password, please input it in the corresponding column.
  • If you have finish the setting part, please click the button Convert then the conversion will be done very fast.

Second, run the conversion.

  • Go to the PDF list page to add the PDF file to this software. You can add by dragging or clicking the button Add PDF File.
  • Please go to Test Stamp part to add text stamp. Then go to Image Stamp part to add image stamp.
  • From the above snapshot, you can find that adding multi stamp, adjusting stamp color, setting the stamp transparency and others are all available.
  • When you finish the stamping setting, please back to PDF file list to click the button Stamping to run the process.
  • A few seconds later, you will get the stamped PDF file in the same folder as the source PDF file.

How to convert image to flash?

   In the ImagePDF knowledge  base, we have talked about many ways for converting image to PDF. In this article, I will show you how to convert image to flash. It needs two steps: converting image to PDF then PDF to flash. As in our ImagePDF knowledge base, we already have many articles about image to PDF, I will put focus on the later conversion.

  First, download PDF to Flash Converter.

  • Please allow me to say one word or two about VeryDOC PDF to Flash Converter.This software was developed by VeryDOC software company. It can be used to batch convert Adobe PDF files to Flash movies (SWF files) without Adobe installed. It is easily integrated COM object (or DLL Library, or Command Line), enabling developers to access the converter via any programming or scripting languages, such as Visual Basic, C/C++, Delphi, ASP, PHP, C#, .NET, etc. 
  • This software should be called from MS Dos Windows and it does not have software interface. After downloading, you need to unzip it then check the elements in it.

Second, run the conversion from PDF to flash.

  • Launch MS Dos Windows and run the conversion following the usage in readme.txt:
                  Usage: pdftoflash.exe [options] <PDF Files>
  • Example: 
    1. -swfburst  is the parameter for bursting PDF file to single page SWF files
       pdftoflash.exe -swfburst C:\in.pdf C:\out.swf   
    2.-swfopt  is the parameter for setting SWF options and parameter "-z” is compress Flash 6 (MX) by zlib compression
       pdftoflash.exe -swfopt "-z" C:\in.pdf C:\out.swf
    3.     parameter is for changing the draw order of the PDF
       pdftoflash.exe -swfopt "-j 75" C:\in.pdf C:\out.swf  
    4.     parameter “–p” is for converting only pages in range with range
       pdftoflash.exe -swfopt "-p 2 -j 75" C:\in.pdf C:\out.swf 
    5.    parameter “ –S ” is for storing everything as shape in the swf file
      pdftoflash.exe -swfopt "-s zoom=150" C:\in.pdf C:\out.swf
  • There are more parameters here, we can not list all of them here. If you need to know more about it, maybe you need to use them one by one or check the readme yourself.
